When artist Noah Ryu early on changed his medium from colored Korean painting to oil painting, he was greatly influenced by Leipzig School which lead the “revival of painting’; he also worked at the home base of Leipzig School. Later on, as the artist established his own painting style, he allegorically shows life’s finitude inside the permanence of time through the emphasis of the contrast between the classical iconography representing the eternity of time and the figures representing the finiteness of life.
